The tribulations of Nectar

NICOLAS’s fame was established thanks to intense advertising communication, both in cinema (first advertising cartoons in 1921), and on walls with the appearance of Nectar in 1922. Born from the pencil of Dransy and inspired by a delivery man of the house named Le Paven, the frail mustachioed delivery man with saucer eyes, loaded with bottles in each hand, enjoyed immediate and undisputed popular success.

In 2012, on the occasion of Nicolas’ 190th anniversary, the company’s iconic delivery man was modernized and revealed a new face.

Today, the wine merchant is featured in Nicolas’ advertising communication.
